SIT Notice for Non-Receipt of Annual Declaration

When to run:

Annually

The following client preferences are used:

DECLARATION_LETTER_DATE: Enter the date to be printed as the submission date on the letters.  The default is March 1st.  You can write out the month or enter the date in mm/dd/yyyy format.

RETURNADDR_POBOX, RETURNADDR_CITY, RETURNADDR_STATE, RETURNADDR_ZIP, and RETURNADDR_PHONE - Enter the desired return address information. If these preferences are expired or do not exist, the information from the Tax Unit Maintenance screen for the PRIM_JURIS is used.

CPA: Enter the Tax Assessor-Collector's name and credentials. The job title should be put in the description area of the preference.

NAME: Enter the tax office name (without the words 'tax office')

What it displays:

This prints letters to all dealers who have not submitted their annual declarations by the date the report is run.  Addresses on the letters are taken from the Alternate Address - DBA fields on the Owner Master screen.  Annual declarations must be submitted by February 1 of each year for those dealers in business on January 1, and within 30 days of the date a dealer started doing business if that is after January 1. Dealers whose start date is in the same year as that entered on the parameter screen are excluded.

These notices will not be printed for accounts that have the Hold Delinquent Letter box checked on the Owner Master screen.

User Entitlements

The following user entitlements are available on the Batch Menu. They are part of the Run SI Batch Processes task, which is part of the SI Batch Menu job. See Tasks, Entitlements, and Jobs for more information. Individual reports and processes must be assigned to each user.

To run the SIT Notice for Non-Receipt of Annual Declaration:

  1. From the Main Menu, click Batch Menu.  The SIT Batch Menu will appear.
  2. Click the SIT Notice for Non-Receipt of Annual Declaration line, batch menu no. 12210.  You may need to scroll down to see this.
  3. Press Enter.  The parameter screen for this report will appear.
  4. Enter your tax office's Client ID for ACT 7.
  5. Enter the Year for which you want the notice.
  6. In the Create Note field, enter Y to create a note for the dealer associated with each letter printed or N to not add such notes.
  7. Click Submit Job.
  8. Click OK on the "OK to Submit Job" pop-up screen.
