Change Log

The Change Log keeps a history of many of the changes made to an account. All entries to this screen are made automatically by the ACT system.
You can view changes associated with a particular screen, not necessarily with a particular account. For each screen, you are able to choose which pieces of information (for ex., owner name, parcel address) for which you want to see changes.
User Entitlements
The following user entitlement is used on this screen. It is part of the View Only Major Screens task, which is part of most jobs. See Tasks, Entitlements, and Jobs for more information.
SI_CHANGE_LOG: Ability to query on the Change Log screen
- From the Main Menu, double-click Change Log or from the Go To list, select Change Log; the Change Log screen will appear.
- If the Account Number field is blank, enter the account number, then go to step 3.
If you need to enter a different account number, highlight the current account number, key in the new account number, then go to step 3.
Note: If you don't know your account number, see Locating an Account.
- Click the Screen Name drop-down list; the List of Tables window will appear.
- Double-click a table name from the list to select it, for example Owner, or highlight the line and click OK.
- Press Tab or click in an empty box. The Available list in the Column Selection area will display all of the fields (pieces of information) available on the screen you selected.
Note: If you selected the Jurisdiction screen in the List of Tables, you will need to enter a tax unit number instead of an account number.
- Enter the next piece of information, which, for ex., might be Owner or Account No.
- Press Tab again; other information may be filled in (if you selected the Owner screen, the Certified Owner name will be filled in).
- Double-click a field name in the Available column or highlight a field name then click the right arrow key; that name will be moved to the Selected column.
- Repeat the previous step until you have moved everything to the Selected column for which you want to see changes.
- If you wish to limit the dates of the changes that you see, enter a Start and End date.
- Click View Changes; the Result screen will appear.
To see changes made to the individual field that you selected, click that line (for ex., owner name) in the left side of the screen. Any changes to that field that have been recorded in ACT 7 will be displayed in the right side of the screen.
The Last Change Date, noted on the left side of the screen, is the date the last change was made to that screen.
The Change Date column on the right side gives the date each individual change was made.
The Operator is the person who made each individual change.
