SIT Add Notes for Selected Accounts

This process allows users to insert notes for a group of accounts that have been loaded into the trigger tables.  To put accounts in the trigger table, you can use batch menu no. 12221, SIT Load All Accounts in Trigger Table; batch menu no. 1047, Load Unpaid SIT Accounts to Trigger Table; or you enter them manually in the Statement Table screen.

User Entitlements

The following user entitlements are available on the Batch Menu. They are part of the Run SI Batch Processes task, which is part of the SI Batch Menu job. See Tasks, Entitlements, and Jobs for more information. Individual reports and processes must be assigned to each user.

SI_BATCHMENU: access the batch menu

SI_FILE_UPLOAD: access and use the File Upload button

  1. From the Main Menu, click Batch Menu.  The ACT Batch Menu will appear
  2. Click on the Add Notes for Selected Accounts line, batch menu no. 12410.
  3. Press Enter.  The parameter screen for this report will appear.
  4. Enter your tax office's Client ID.
  5. Enter the current Tax Year.
  6. Enter the Batch Request Seq. No., which is the number generated when you loaded the accounts into the statement accounts or trigger table.  
  7. (optional) Enter a Message Code to be inserted into the notes (for ex., MSG).  
  8. In the next five fields, Note Text 1 - Note Text 5, enter the text of the note that you want to be inserted.  Each line can only be 80 characters. A space will be added between each line.
  9. Enter a date in the Sticky Note Expire Date. It defaults to 01/01/2020 and is a required field, even if you did not put an MSG in the Message Code field. Change this date if you want.
  10. Click Submit Job to start the report process.  
  11. Click OK on the "OK to Submit Job" pop-up screen.
