Portal User Accounts

Authorized users can view and add portal users on the Portal User Accounts screen. They can also see dealers associated with a specific user or add a new dealer to a user.
User Entitlements
The following user entitlements are used on this screen. They are part of the Manage SI Portal Users task, which are part of the SI Portal job. See Tasks, Entitlements, and Jobs for more information.
SI_SECURITY_MAINTENANCE: Use the Maintenance screen (depending on user entitlements for the individual options).
SITUSERS: View only access to the Portal User screen and the User Name tab of Owner Master.
SITUSERS_UPDATE: Allow users to update the Portal User screen and the User Name tab of Owner Master.
Client Preference:
SIT_PORTAL_FROM_EMAIL: Enter the email address to use as the from address when the SIT Portal sends emails to dealers.
To do this,
- From the Main Menu screen, click the Maintenance tab.
- Double-click Portal User Accounts. The Portal User screen will appear. All SIT portal users currently associated to the dealer are displayed.
- To search for a specific user, click F7, enter either a User ID or a User Name, then click F8.
- To sort the search results, select one of the following from the Sort By drop-down list: User ID (the default), Username, Name, Operator ID, or Change Date. You can also choose to view the results in Ascending or Descending order by clicking the desired radio button.
- To see dealers associated with a specific user or to add a new dealer to a user, click the asterisk in the Dealer column. The User Name Dealer List popup window appears.
- The Linked box should be checked for all users who can view this dealer in the SIT Portal. Uncheck the Linked box if you do not want that user to view the dealer in the portal.
- To add a new dealer to a user, click Add Dealer.
- In the Add New Dealer to User popup, enter a Dealer No, then press Tab. The Linked box is checked by default, to all this dealer to be viewed in the SIT Portal. Uncheck the Linked box if you do not want that user to view the dealer in the portal.
- Click Save if you made changes.
- Click Go To Owner Master to view the Owner Master screen for the dealer row last clicked, or click Close to return to the Portal Users screen.
- To add another user for the SIT Portal, click the New Portal User button. A User Info Entry/Edit popup appears.
- Enter a User Name (no spaces). This must be a unique name.
- Enter a PIN (password). After pressing Tab, the Prompt PIN Reset box is automatically checked. The user name and pin must be provided to the dealer, who will be required to create a new password.
- Enter the remaining information as provided by the dealer: name, title, address, city, state, zip code, phone, and email. This information will be used on sales reports and annual declarations. The email address cannot be the same as that used for any other portal user.
- For heavy equipment and manufactured housing dealers, select an Authorized Rep Type. If Other is selected, enter a description in the Other Explanation field.
- If this user needs administrative privileges, check the Tax Office Admin box.
- Check the Account Locked box to prevent a portal user from logging in.
- Click Save to save the new user, then click OK to the confirmation message, or click Cancel to avoid saving the data.
- If you saved changes, the Portal User screen may show only the user that was created. Press F7, then F8 to view all users.
- To modify an existing user for the SIT Portal, click the Edit Portal User button. The User Info Entry/Edit popup appears.
- Change any of the information as needed. See the 'add user' section for more information.
- Click Save to save the new user, then click OK to the confirmation message, or click Cancel to avoid saving the data.
