Search by Location or Owner

Last Revised: August 19, 2011

If you need to know the business or owner name of a permit holder, but not the permit number, use the Location tab in the Account Search screen to find that number.

Security jobs, tasks, and entitlements using this screen are:

Job Task Entitlement and Description
LP_HEAD_CASHIER,
LP_ACCOUNTING,
LP_ACCOUNTING_MANAGER,
PERMITS_MANAGE
USE_ACCOUNT_SEARCH ACTBLW_07,  access to the screen

For step-by-step instructions on Security jobs, tasks and entitlements, please click here to see the documentation in the Tax Collection System help.

  1. Click the Searchicon () on the Main Menu or select Inquiry at the top of the Main Menu, then select Account Search, or select Account Search in the Go To drop-down list. The Search screen will appear, showing the Locations tab.
  2. Enter all or part of a location trade name, city, address, account no., or owner name in the appropriate field.
  3. Press F8 (Execute Query); a list of accounts matching your entry will appear.  If you do not see the account or name you want, use the scrollbar to view more accounts. If more than one account number is associated with the location,  a row appears for each account.

The Type column contains either an L (for liquor permits) or a B (for beer permits). The Active column displays a checkmark for active permits.

  1. Click the Permits tab to see the permits held by the highlighted business.
  2. To do another search, press F7 to clear the screen, then repeat steps 2-3.
  3. Choose a record from the ones resulting from the search by clicking to highlight it, then move to another screen by using the Go To drop-down list.  The account information will be automatically entered into that screen.

Note: If an account has a current permit, a checkmark will appear in the Active column. Payments cannot be made on inactive accounts
