Welcome to the Permits Help. This online help system provides detailed information about the Permits system maintained by Appraisal & Collection Technologies.  In it you will find step-by-step instructions for all of the tasks that you perform on a regular basis. Currently, this documentation covers the permits system for alcoholic beverages in the state of Texas. Other types of permits and/or licenses from Texas and other states may be added in the future.

How to Use the Permits Help System

Most screens in the Permits system have a help button () in the toolbar. Clicking this button retrieves online help that applies to the functionality available in that screen. This is  the best way to retrieve help information when using the Permits system.

If this Welcome page is the first online help page you see, or if you click the Table of Contents link on each help page, you come to the Table of Contents/Welcome page.

Each set of instructions is called a topic.  They can be located as follows:

The Table of Contents at the top of each page has topic titles grouped by type of activity. For example: Deposits & Payments has instructions for paying a permit.

  1. Click a topic of your choice. A drop-down list will appear.
  2. Click the sub-topic of your choice. The instructions for the topic will appear in the main part of the screen.

The Search feature allows you to query the online help for a certain word or phrase.  Partial word searches are possible. To use the Search feature,

  1. In the Search box at the top, type in a word or phrase for which you want to search.
  2. Press Enter or click the magnifying glass icon.  
  3. If more than one topic matches your word or phrase, a list of topics will appear.  Click on a topic from the list to view the instructions for that process.
